Auvers-sur-Oise and Giverny tour

On this tour, you'll immerse yourself in the worlds of Vincent Van Gogh at Auvers-sur-Oise and Claude Monet at Giverny. 

Stage 1: Auvers-sur-Oise

Your driver-guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you first to Auvers-sur-Oise. 

  1. At the Auberge de Ravoux, discover room N°5 where Vincent Van Gogh spent his last 70 days, and the table where he used to eat.
  2. Pay tribute to Vincent Van Gogh and his brother Theo at the Auvers-sur-Oise cemetery. Find out how Vincent Van Gogh died and the details of his funeral. 
  3. The magnificent church is a must-see in Anvers-sur-Oise, as it inspired Vincent Van Gogh.

Stage 2: Lunch

For lunch, stroll through the pretty town of Auvers-sur-Oise and choose a restaurant serving local specialties or the Auberge Ravoux, where you can enjoy a charcuterie and cheese platter accompanied by a glass of wine, just as Van Gogh used to do (book in advance).

Stage 3: Giverny

  1. After lunch, soak up Claude Monet's creativity in his house and its wonderful gardens.
  2. Le Clos Normand is one of the finest creations of Claude Monet, who spent over 40 years working on the details.
  3. The Japanese-style water garden inspired Claude Monet's famous "Water Lilies".
  4. To round off the day, stroll through the Musée des Impressionismes, which traces the history of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. The museum also boasts a magnificent garden that follows the rhythm of the seasons.
At the end of the day, your driver will take you back to your hotel.
